What happens when you cut a strip with 2 or more strips. Use the project to explore.

As for the strange controls I decided to experiment with moving the camera rather than the object. I the project onto the plane through the origin which is perpendicular to the camera. This has the computational advantage that as I rotate I am not moving the coordinates (and so do not need to update the list of points) and instead just rotate the camera position and orientation vectors.

The downside comes with usability. Since you can't see the camera the objects rotation can feel unrelated to how the object appears to rotate. If people find this too frustrating I will go back to a more standard rotation model. Let me know what you think.
