Kalani had one goal in life he strived to achieve at all times: To live a successful life. What this looks like- well, Kalani never knew. The son of a wealthy engineer he seemed on the right track for a good life, despite having a half brother he hated, and an overly stressful life due to the pressure of constantly trying to surpass expectations... oh yes and his aunt who ran a crime ring.
Just when he felt ready to take over his father's company, to start making his own inventions, his aunt stepped out from the shadows, threatening to ruin his life, and more importantly his career, if he didn't join her. She profited by selling Kalani's father's designs on the black market, using his rank to get into highly restricted areas and robbing them. Kalani had to admit, it was a smart gig, but nothing he wanted to be a part of... well, he certainly could use some excitement in his life. So, maybe there was still a small, childish part of him left that craved adventure outside of flashy social gatherings and the confines of his study. Auntie had also enlisted his brother, Rhys, who was overjoyed he finally found a task he was better than his brother at, although he never had a particularly ruthless streak, Rhys felt he had everything to prove in the shadow of his more successful, and often times cruel brother. Yet Kalani quickly lost his appetite for adventure when he realized this business was too... bloody. Kalani was scared, unsure if he could continue is life under Auntie's command, always there with a quiet threat to tear down everything he built. One day, they captured an ex-cop who had started to investigate them. Rhys was out for blood, but Kalani helped the cop escape, and in exchange, he offered Kalani a way out and a place to stay if he needed. Kalani refused, not ready to give up on his perfect -if quickly falling apart, future. But then he realized he was no longer who he wanted to be, he had taken things to far to ever be forgiven for, and he just wanted to feel like a hero, to atone, to change. So he ran away, deciding to help the cop, who he learned was named Vaughn, take down his aunt and brother.

WOO! If it seems like I was giving you the cold shoulder over the past month, this is why! I was super busy working on it, and I'm really proud. Took me around.... 17 or so hours altogether to make I think?
I can't believe after all that work I still like it.
