I remade a modestly old meme, partially for the memes, but also as a technical experiment to explore workflows for exporting HDR (High Dynamic Range) animations.
This was made and Animated in Blender, rendered using the cycles (Ray Traced Graphics) renderer into an EXR sequence (instead of jpeg, png, or a video file), then brought into Davinci Resolve to be color corrected for HDR under the Rec. 2020 color space for output on 1000 nit HDR screens. Yes, that's a lot of technobabble, but it provided me with quite the learning experience.
It also goes to show how picky YouTube is with its HDR content, but how does Newgrounds faire? Not bad, it seems.
