The Hopkins girls soccer team tied St. Louis Park 2-2 in the season opener for both teams.

After Alma Beaton’s long free kick bounced in to give St. Louis Park the lead, Hopkins answered.

Ellise Wright chipped a high shot that eluded the Orioles goalkeeper to tie it 1-1.

It stayed that way through regulation and the first overtime.

Amelia Carrizales scored to put Hopkins in front 2-1 late in the second overtime.

St. Louis Park answered as Beaton’s free kick was knocked in by a Hopkins defender, resulting in a 2-2 tie.
