Everyone is heading home from the Electric Daisy Carnival this morning, or trying to at least, this three day festival, which debuted in 2011, has generated $1.3 billion in economic impact and attracted more than 1.7 million visitors. Traffic is extremely heavy from the Speedway through the Spaghetti Bowl right now.
It’s the first day of summer, marking the longest day of the year, the Summer Solstice. It’s also the first day of possible record heat, 112-113 degrees!! Stay hydrated everyone.
If you’re a basketball lover, you know the Cleveland Caviliers won the NBA Championships. Of course our own Tristan Thompson went to Findlay Prep, a basketball academy here in town. Also members of the team partied on the Strip to celebrate their win, how cool is that?! They were spotted at Wynn Las Vegas hours after winning.
Also, we have to brag for just a moment this morning, the city of Las Vegas last night won the Social Media award at the All American Cities Challenge Awards in Denver. Thank you to all our followers who shared our content to help us win this award!
Speaking of awards, we are trying to get ANOTHER award, the Trending Now award, through the ELGL, which is a local government organization. We’re in the top spot right now with 3,382 votes but we have until tomorrow, so keep voting!

Today the mayor will join Cox Communications as it dedicates the first two solar projects in Las Vegas and North Las Vegas.
