I've been playing guitar for so long now. I spent about 10 years of my life scraping a living as a Jazz musician in the North of England. I learnt a lot from that experience about music and people and life and how naieve I can be sometimes. But I have been awakening day by day and growing and recently I found the confidence to trust my singing voice and gained the support of a loved one that pushed me forward. This space is an opportunity for me and others to look at what I offer as a musician and to comment critically so that I can always be improving. It's already helped me put myself into some kind of perspective.

As for TheCompleteGuitarist, I chose for a web name to promote my teaching activities. I'm no virtuoso but I do strive to be an all round guitarist and teach musicianship and skills rather than simply how to play this or that song.
