The fruit orange came before the color which originated from a word French which became orange. This fruit originated in china and the first orange was called the sweet orange. Soon this fruit came to this US from Christopher Columbus, this is what started to spread orange across the globe. Soon the color of orange was named after the orange fruit. (I think this is all true correct me if I’m wrong tho)
