About My Own Doctor

When I became ill I realized I needed to consult a doctor. But since I wasn't bleeding all over the floor, or had a heart attack it didn't really feel like an emergency. So I was left with these three options from which to chose:
1) I do not have a doctor because I can't afford it (as 85% of you)
2) Next doctor's appointment is THREE months away (if you're lucky they even take new patients)
3) Go to the Emergency Room (most common solution. Sadly, the ONLY solution for most)
A trip to the ER for a "non-emergency emergency" carried the risk to wait over 5 hours in the waiting room and potentially contract some pathology was not a risk I was willing to take. Nor waiting for hours just to be "stabilized" with medication, and sent home to follow up with "my doctor", along with a $2,000 bill.
I don't have a doctor. I can't afford that bill.

So what did I do ?

I BECAME MY OWN DOCTOR.
