On May 13th, 2017, Nosh Bellinger was reported missing by his parents Farrah and Ron after their son did not return home from going to a beach he frequented often.
His parents stated he would go to this beach "to think and hang out and get away. We didn't think much of it." Nosh reportedly began frequenting the beach, Goble Beach in Oregon, more often before he went missing and for longer durations of time. On May 11th, Nosh went to the beach and never returned to his Oregon home.
Ron Bellinger on the 12th of May went to the beach to search for his son to no avail but did discover a shack hidden among the brush. He entered the shack and noticed a number of objects that belonged to his son, such as a backpack, a carton of cigarettes that matched the brand Nosh smoked, and a poster of Giles Corey.
Ron alerted the police but was told that since Nosh was 19 and a legal adult he could not be reported missing until 24 hours after he was last seen, making the MPR on May 13th.
