I repair Bulova Accutron Tuning Fork watches from the 1960s and 1970s. I believe they’re the best watches ever made. It took me a really long time to learn how to do this, and I understand why so few people today possess the knowledge of how to service these: there isn’t a lot of money to be made, it’s extremely difficult to learn, and it requires a lot of specialized tools. I went from not knowing anything about watches or electronics to only restoring Accutrons. I have put everything into learning how to service these, and I'm glad I didn't give up. I don't find automatic or mechanical watches interesting at all and I find them outdated, which is ironic considering the tuning fork has been discontinued for 50 years. Perhaps one day Bulova will rerelease the tuning fork and restore the legacy it holds in horological history. Until then, join me on my journey of saving the Accutron!
