I love language(s), music and thinking. My native language is German, my second language is English. I like the Italian language. I have a basic understanding of French and Spanish, which I learned in school. I love music and making music, especially classical piano and organ music, but also non-classical music. I am a learner at heart, and as such I am interested in learning, how learning succeeds, motivation, as well as perspectives from neuroscience and learning psychology on how individuals and different people learn. Regarding our educational systems, I do not critisize so much what is to be learned, but how it is taught. Also, I think that the way how individuals learn should be taught as well by practicing learning methods, awareness, meta-cognition and meditative practice. Scholars in every learning environment need to learn how to learn and how they can use and improve their attention. The success of learning is not solely god-given, but it can be cultivated!
