On February 14th 2080, the American & Mexican Senates sign the treaty of Jalisco. Sealing the final approval needed to commit a large number of US resoucres to the frontline of the war on drugs, an order of unprecedented magnitude.

Instead of focusing efforts on reclaiming New York, Miami, Seattle & other key coastal cities the US government does not control anymore. To the confusion of the local population and the international community, a large number of American troops were committed South of the border.

In the summer of the same year, stories of gold discovered near the small town of Bacoachi break out of the Sonora region.

The morning of October 15th, a company of Elite US Marines stationed in the region were tasked with escorting a group of researchers to investigate the source of this new gold rush.
