I've seen a lot of content on TikTok about "dark humor" recently, so I wanted to discuss the recent events and my overall thoughts on the subject. Enjoy!

Leave a comment & let me know what you think! I am in no way the judge of what you can and can't joke about, I just shared some of my personal opinions so if you disagree that's all good lol

I originally made the one sketch about Buzz assuming that he’s never done stand up before but upon doing further research, I found an old set of his from like 8 years ago that had some jokes that were actually kinda funny. Idk what happened in the past 8 years lol but yeah just thought I’d clear it up!

the worst part of this is is that it's so easy to make a joke that isn't offensive. here's one: a snake walks into a bar, and the bartender says, "how the fuck did you do that?"

"facial expressions have no meaning or message" actors: 👁👄👁

It’s funny when they call us snowflakes but then see two people of the same gender holding hands and start freaking out

as a member of the lgbt community, i did indeed have to come out as a sussy imposter to my family and friends

The whole “he’s not even saying anything” argument is literally the same thing as like “I’m not even touching you” when you’d purposefully try to piss off your siblings by putting your finger close but not touching them 😂

“It’s not dark humor, you’re just an asshole” would be great on a kurtis town shirt
  • Schrodinger's douchebag- Someone who is a jerk and decides whether they were joking or not based on how people reacted. This is the perfect definition for these type of people.
  • calling gay things "sus" is just a way for people to be homophobic without directly being homophobic
  • @vinx3078
Translation: Romeo: dude it's not that bad Mercutio: yo I'm fucking dying
  • The thing about dark humor is that it isn’t there to legitimately hurt someone’s feelings. It’s supposed to make light of a bad situation. This shit just isn’t funny in any way possible.
  • My favorite thing to do whenever someone tells me a “dark” joke is to act confused and be like “I don’t get that joke, can you explain it to me?”
  • @nothankyewpls
Being called a snowflake because I want basic human respect :)
  • The guys obsession with calling them “little girls” freaks me out.
  • These days, it's like you're not even allowed to manipulate a younger audience into committing hate crimes or something.

I had this video disliked bc I watched it when I was in self hate and very trans and homophobic. Now, I’m openly gay and trans and I am cringing at old shit I used to dislike. Sorry to anyone I hurt in my phase, I hope this comment helps ppl understand that many phobes can change for the better and that things are slowly improving.

“You don’t have a dark sense of humor, you’re just a fucking asshole.” This quote basically sums up the entire video lol
  • @villaimouse
"it's just dark humor, take a joke" the joke: a literal hate crime

The sexual assault "joke" is not a joke, it's a passive aggressive threat. It is not constructed and designed as a joke. His intent is not to make people laugh, it's to try to scare girls into stopping calling him out on his sexist content.
  • I had a "friend" that called my Hispanic best friend horrible things based off of offensive stereotypes and called them "jokes". After my SA when I was 12, people that I was close to would make jokes about it and expect me to find it funny. I am so glad that Kurtis spoke out against dark jokes because they are damaging and offensive.
